Default Terps Basketball Not on TV

Again. Two local teams matched up and we get Presbyterian Vs South Carolina and Duke vs Santa Clara.

That will all change when the money grabbers force all of Maryland to pay for the Big Ten network on their cable bills.

    Just wait for it.

    Or not.

BTN already bundled with basic HD packages for most providers. Ex: http://verizonspecials.com/fios-channels

    Sorry to disappoint...

I did too for a little while. No. I blame the program.
It is the AD's job to get television exposure.

Comcast will hold out on adding BTN to the expanded basic tier until they get more money for it which will be another excuse for your cable bill to go up.

Understandable, but is, BC or Miami a big draw in the mid-Atlantic? No idea?

In football, it should be different. If one can't get excited about Nebraska, Mich, OSU or PSU coming to town, then one is not a college football fan - at heart.

Sure. Everybody I know has connections to either Florida or Boston.
I have been in Miami and Boston a dozen times each and I look forward to any chance to go back.

I have been to Ames and Lincoln once each and never had any desire to go back.

Ok. I am from Boston...a while back, and would have zero interest in seeing BC basketball. When I go to Boston, which is quite often, it's either for business or to see old friends. Going to watch mediocre basketball, at best, would not interest me, in the least. Now, a Celics game would. But that's just me.

I guess when I go to any sporting event, I either want to see a rivalry game, or, to see a national power. Neither BC nor Miami fall into either category.

Regardless, it is, what it is.

We had a house in Sagamore Beach when I was a kid and my Mom grew up in Scituate. I love Boston.
My point was that people on the east coast have connections to the Schools and have friends and family that attended.

Lived in Stow (next to Acton, Maynard and Concord). Had season tickets to the Celtics -"obstructed view". Beantown is #1 in my book. It's a REAL sports town.

My point was - college basketball, in Boston, gets about as much interest as soccer. Zip.

Now, had you said college hockey, then we agree.

Why don't you go back? (Not being a smart ***, just asking). Life is short.
