I could have been selfish and voted "yes", since I like many others, already lawully own a semi automatic Bushmaster AR-15 rifle.

But I voted no. Mainly for the freedom of other Americans living today, and not yet born, to have the option to lawfully acquire one.

There are at least two other "assault" rifle owners on my block.

    Is there a safety concern?

Yes, but not for me or for all residents in my subdivision. I fear for the safety of potentional criminals targeting our subdivision, is all.

Banning them or requiring registration is what will cause me to become a law breaker after nearly 60 years of trying to do the right thing.

On a similar topic, I have a device that allows me to fire my AR-15 as fast as a full automatic. It is called a slide stock. It comes with a letter from the ATF that states it is a legal device. I guess it won't be around long. For a demo video go to http://www.slidefirestock.com/ or google slide stock on youtube.

PS. Obammy and Feinstein are not getting my slide stock either

Maybe not as paranoid as you think.

Yeah, good luck with that, Einstein. Guns will never be banned, politicians will never support that. AWB is as far as it goes.
