When has he had consistent 30 yard punts?
When he played Pop Warner maybe? Remember when Ray Guy was the benchmark? He was the difference in the 77 playoff game. His lifetime average was 42.4 yards per punt against David Lee that usually kicked maybe 37 or 38 yards. I was watching from the cheap 8 dollar temp seats..... even there I watched field position improve for them every punt.

I'll keep Koch around a few years more only because HE'S GREAT!

When has he had consistent 30 yard punts?
he had 2 or 3 very short punts from deep in our own end that set Cincy up with fantastic field position....one was clearly a shank. Which I have noticed him doing more so this year.

as for the wind....and I'm not exactly sure of their choice of words, but the commentators said the winds were not a factor yesterday.

Many factors go into kicking/punting correct ? It's not all about distance. Pinning teams inside the 10, big punts in crucial situations. hang time all factor in.

But hey, I stated in a post maybe I'm comparing Koch to the Koch of a few years ago who I thought was the best punter in football.

At least you can question me/my thread without calling me an idiot.

And for all of the stats I've seen posted here (and I didn't pay particular attention because I trust my eyes over the course of a season more than stats), distance/length of the punts is the least relevant. Punts down within the 20 is a much more relevant stat. Koch used to nail those. Not so much this year. Or even last year, IIRC. I think Rosburg has been messing with his mechanics, just like with Tucker on KO's. Tucker could kick it out of the EZ just about every time but Harbaugh is on record that that's not good enough for him -- he wants higher shorter KO's so they can tackle the returner inside the 20. Of course, they can't always do that, but stubborn John Harbauugh doesn't seem to care.

    exactly where I'm coming from

I don't follow the stats...I trust in my eyes, in what I'm seeing over the course of the season.

Boy did the homers attack....like a shark to a bloody fish in water.
I'm okay with that. But I'm not okay with the rest of the B S....and I won't sit here and let people personally attack me.

Good exchange, man. That's really why I still post here -- because sometimes, some people can take off the purple glasses and have an open, informed discussion. That's what it's all about for me.

    Peace out.

Ha................that's rich. Your idea of an "open, informed discussion", is to tell someone who disagrees with you to "STFU". Hilarious..............

I would not trade KOCH for any other punter out there. we also have a great kicker with TUCKER

No you did not call me name. However you did decide to interject yourself by posting how amusing/funny you thought my comments were correct ?

By doing so, you intentionally tried to get me even more fired up or you would have kept that remark to yourself. It's one thing to disagree with my opinions, it's another thing to antagonize someone intentionally.

But hey that's who you are....you do enjoy pissing people off.

The Ravens have bigger needs to address than a punter.
