She may very well need surgery to relieve pressure on her brain. She could also drift into a coma and/or die. I really wish that posters would stop with the inhumane comments.

Unless, of course, she's faking it...

    CNN live
    ... That doesn't sound good......

This info is from CBS at 444pm......

"However, her doctors announced Monday late afternoon that Clinton is making excellent progress. They also predict the secretary will make a full recovery."

"Doctors performing a post-concussion exam discovered the clot, which is now being treated with anti-coagulants, better know as blood thinners."

    http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/12/...new-years-eve/

I read or heard somewhere that a "blood thinner" is not used if there is a clot on/in the brain. Wonder what is correct?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a blood clot between her brain and skull behind her right ear, her doctors said.

    from your link...

"Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN chief medical correspondent, says the fact that Clinton's clot is being treated with anticoagulants may offer a clue to the clot's location.
Anticoagulants are drugs that prevent clots from forming in the heart veins and arteries, according to the American Heart Association. Anticoagulants also prevent clots from growing larger.
"I think it's very unlikely this is a blood clot on top of the brain or around the brain specifically, because you just don't treat blood clots on the brain that way," Gupta said. "That would worsen the bleeding."

...appears that the Doc. was guessing... as at the top of the page an alert states the clot is located between the right ear and brain....

I remember the thread on the concussion and a lot of people were making fun of that. It's disconcerting that some people seem to hate individuals so much that they would go this route. It's like watching an NFL player get carted off the field on a road game and fans happy that he's on a stretcher.

Maybe the flu, but I don't think she had the concussion. I personally think this is a "is" thing, if you catch my drift.

Not in the brain, between the brain and skull, in that vein. Clot "in" the brain is a stroke.

I take no joy in injured players unless it might have been a Joey Porter or Brandon Meriweather kind of guy.

I don't have much to say here about Hillary because I don't like her and past habitual lying. Like Gump........ that's all I have to say about that.

Either Dr. Sanjay was given the wrong medicine they were using on Clinton, or they are treating her with the wrong medicine for her condition. Dr. Sanjay is a brain surgeon so I guess he would know.

... nothing there that says "in the brain".

Do you think by him stating "on top of the brain" means he was saying "in the brain"? I sure don't know.

So, if the clot is between the brain and skull they will use the Anticoagulants?

Well, in that case, I wish her well and a speedy recovery.

I sure hope this one doesn't affect her memory concerning the subject of the Benghazi clusterfrick, and if it does, remember, you heard it here first.
One day it may happen to you, and you then can tell us all about faking it.

Even minor trauma to the brain can be very serious.

My wife went to enter the car and the curb was higher than she anticipated and bumped her head on car's door trim.

Seemed very minor, not real painful, no cuts.

Later that evening she was taking a bag of trash from our condo to the pickup spot and could not remember her way back to the condo.

We immediately went to the ER. All tests were negative, except she had less strength on her left side.

Eventually in a couple of days, she was fine.

You never know with head trauma.
