Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our First Lady -- a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation -- is a congenital liar.
Nothing is too slimy for a Clinton to keep their "political viability."1. Remember the story she told about studying The Wall Street Journal to explain her 10,000 percent profit in 1979 commodity trading? We now know that was a lie told to turn aside accusations that as the Governor's wife she profited corruptly, her account being run by a lawyer for state poultry interests through a disreputable broker. She lied for good reason: To admit otherwise would be to confess taking, and paying taxes on, what some think amounted to a $100,000 bribe.
2. The abuse of Presidential power known as Travelgate elicited another series of lies. She induced a White House lawyer to assert flatly to investigators that Mrs. Clinton did not order the firing of White House travel aides, who were then harassed by the F.B.I. and Justice Department to justify patronage replacement by Mrs. Clinton's cronies.
3. In the aftermath of the apparent suicide of her former partner and closest confidant, White House Deputy Counsel Vincent Foster, she ordered the overturn of an agreement to allow the Justice Department to examine the files in the dead man's office. Her closest friends and aides, under oath, have been blatantly disremembering this likely obstruction of justice, and may have to pay for supporting Hillary's lie with jail terms.
Now if you want to go read the official reports from the investigation that prove she lied, go ahead and then come back with your tail between your legs and understand why no one trusts her, with good reason. An Ad Hominem is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument.
Typically, this fallacy involves two steps. First, an attack against the character of person making the claim, her circumstances, or her actions is made (or the character, circumstances, or actions of the person reporting the claim). Second, this attack is taken to be evidence against the claim or argument the person in question is making (or presenting).
This type of "argument" has the following form:
Person A makes claim X.
Person B makes an attack on person A.
Therefore A's claim is false.
Being a female liberal Democrat does not confer infallibility.
I was a fan of Safire, always read his On Language piece in the Times. But he was a noted anti-Cljntonite and so you will forgive me if I don't lap up his accusations.
Travelgate - filled with Hillary lies.
FileGate - filled with Hillary lies.
CattleGate - filled with Hillary lies.
Not to mention the ones she admits lying about - being named after Sir Edmund Hillary (she finally realized and admitted it was a lie, since Hillary climbed Mt Everest 5 years after she was born lol) and being under "sniper fire" (as she was presented flowers by a school child) on the airport ramp.
Gotcha. She should be believed in all areas of her life given such a record of honesty and integrity.
If Hillary runs in '16 she will give you haters another arse whipping. You all know who you are, so don't look over your shoulder.
Hlllary is not running in 2016.
Hillary has a pretty good approval rating, still.
Hillary Clinton will not want to answer for the Benghazi fiasco ever again after she is done with her hearings. No, I predict Clinton will not run in 2016.
