now this ones a real tough call
AP on a mediocre team....a one man wrecking ball
whereas Manning has lots of pieces around him
I have to think more on this
I don't consider AP to have comeback from anything since he only missed one game. Also, although I admittedly have zero proof, I am pretty sure he's using HGH. There's no other way to explain his recovery and subsequent record season following knee surgery.
My guess is that the NFL has a wider and more tightly guarded use of things we'd look at as "banned substances" than any other sport. Not everything is as it seems (or is reported)...
Do we really think all the players getting busted for PED violations are REALLY using "adderall"? And the Vick saga... they started an investigation in to a lucrative drug distribution ring (with which Vick was an outlying name), but nailed everyone they could get on dog fighting, 'cause it was easier to prove. Things aren't always exactly as reported.
That said, whether any of them are using HGH or XYZ... Manning missed a whole season and many doubted whether he'd ever play again. Now his new team is the #1 seed in the AFC. That wins with me...
I'm confused by ^this^ post....Adrian Peterson a RUNNING BACK tore his ACL and MCL last season on Dec, 24th, 2011. Missed the rest of the season and one game this season. Not sure what that has to do with anything ??
The award is for NFL COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR.....
He absolutely has to be considered. I'm not saying he should win it but....
why did you remove the part you wrote about everybody thought Mannings injury may have been career ending ?
as for the HGH comment....pure speculation on your part and has no place in this discussion without proof. How do you know Manning didn't use Steroids to recover from his injury ? Ah, you don;t. NFL players are tested.
