Why in God's name would you throw away or deny a huge part of such a glorious legacy? Moore, Marchetti, Berry and the others were our hero's and they should be honored. It's not their fault the name and colors were taken.

Johnny U considered the Ravens the rightful heirs to the great Baltimore football legacy. It's A Baltimore stadium payed for by Baltimore taxes by Baltimore football fans.

You don't just ignore a handful of football legendary greats, you lift them up and put them on a pedestal. THEY PLAYED FOR BALTIMORE, THEY PLAYED FOR US! The Football Hall Of Fame has honored them but we can't? The fact that Baltimore football hero's are in an indy display case in Canton OUGHT TO PISS YOU OFF and it's DOUBLE the reason to include them and honor them in BAltimore. Legends Lane and the ring of honor are where they belong!

The Baltimore Colts #'s are in our Ring Of Honor. The legacy has not been thrown away or forgotton. The Ravens are our football team now. The team called the Indy Colts coming to town this weekend for me is now just another NFL team. I hold no more or less resentment towards the Indy Colts than I do any other team. Any ill feelings I had towards Indy and needing to keep remembering the old Colts has long faded for me.

While I agree with you as I'm nearing 50, (most of) those under 40 really don't have any hard core attachment to the old Colts. Can't blame them really as they were 11 and younger when they left. Factor into that the fact that they sucked for a few years before leaving and they never knew winning Baltimore Colt football.

Statue: what's the rush? Seems to me you would want to recognize Lewis in many situations going forward--maybe 25th anniversary of SB win or Ravens' next AFC playoff game at home or whatever. The point being, he's a young man and you might want to think about spacing out the honors.

Or not, what do I know!!!

You forgot to mention SB 37, the Lombardi in Ray's outstanding career

    The time indeed is now.

    You mean SB 35?

Just some trivia I find interesting...
12 Number of years Baltimore went without a team and Ravens went between Super Bowls

34 Number of points scored in each of Ravens Super Bowls

The Ravens should be smart and wait atleast ten years so they dont get embarrassed if Ray does something stupid.

The man has lived an exemplary life for the last 13 year for crying out loud!!!

A couple of weeks ago, someone just like you claimed to be a neighbor of Ray Lewis, and claimed he had a sex party at his house only a few days before his trial. To show how stupid that claim to be, Ray Lewis was in jail in Fulton County, GA awaiting that trial.

Your comment is nearly as bad!

Just because you are small-minded and hating, don't project your pathetic life onto someone else.

Another interesting factoid I just learned... We're the only franchise with multiple kickoff return TDs in the Super Bowl.

The Ravens have built quite a legacy in 17 years...

They said the same thing about Paterno before they knocked his statue down.

    Nothing wrong with waiting.

When did they start putting statues up while people were alive anyway? Pretty dumb.

Ray was in Lukes freak show tho since you mention it.
