Default Man dies when house ignites and rescuers have to back off...,

    ..due to exploding gun ammunition.

    Tragic.

But not uncommon for house fire igniting gun ammunition, driving away firefighters.

Hadn't thought about this issue, but upon a quick Google, seems this happens around the country.

    Be careful out there....

Wow. The man is dead. His dogs are dead. And you try to take advantage of his death. And, by the way, I doubt very much that bullets were "flying around the neighborhood."

Wow, Nice try, but fail. Very tragic.

I only know what the article said. Tonight's news has interviewed some of the neighbors....A neighbor claimed he could hear bullets hitting objects around him (outside the house), so he stopped spaying water on the fire with his garden hose and left the area.

You can prove that bull? Mobil home and disabled man = recipe for fire disaster. When a cartridge is thrown in a fire the bullet stays near stationary and the casing itself will travel further because it's lighter and because it isn't confined in the chamber of a gun it will do no real damage.
Snapshot, you really know nothing about the subject at all now do you?

You really are a lazy, dumb-arse, aren't you. There are a lot of news reports of this happening. Try doing your own research. Are they all wrong? Don't think so.

From your link, it confirms exactly what I said.

Ammunition that is stored in the boxes sold by the manufacturer is not dangerous in a fire. If ignited by intense heat, the brass or plastic cartridge will burst. The particles will not travel very far. The protective clothing that firefighters wear will protect them.

Again, guy in wheelchair and doublewide trailer probably isn't going to have a huge arsenal. Neighbor with garden hose on THAT blaze is both admirable and really REALLY laughable.

    You are missing the point.

The point is....firefighters will not enter a building when they hear such explosions. Maybe if they had, this poor guy might have been saved.

I read at least 5 different news reports, from all over the country, and not one, not one first responder would enter a building if they suspect ammunition is being ignited by the fire.

Whether the exploding ammunition could do any damage was never the issue. I have no idea? But if it keeps firefighters and paramedics at bay, then that should be a concern to gun owners, as house fires are all too common.

    No need.

The NHL strike has taken care of that.

No, not missing the point at all, houses catch fire EVERY DAY rarely is ammunition a factor UNLESS it's being shot at firefighters like the pos that was released from prison in NY.

Imagine that.... murderers being let out early and allowed to vote because of left wing crooked politicians that would do anything for a vote.
