I died when I read the first comment:

Julie Miller "Would never want that murderer to have anything to do with the Steelers The Steelers represent class and the right way to be a football player, on and off the field. Ray Lewis is the opposite of what a Steeler player is and should always be."

Hey Julie, Joe Flacco has never been accused of rape on SEVERAL OCCASIONS like your QB. Also, stop being a pitiful hater and educate yourself on the Atlanta trial.

Lewis is unquestionably one of the greatest ever. He made a gravely stupid mistake lying to the police about the murder of two people, no small thing. Seems like he really turned his life around so good for him.

"Fans" who want to call Ben a rapist and ignore Lewis' past are idiots. And visa versa. Both men have serious blots on their character, no way around it. Hopefully Ben learns from his mistakes as Lewus seems to have.

    Stopped reading there.

BTW - sounds like an uninformed, bitter fan whose team didn't make the playoffs.

Not sure than calling an incident a "serious blot on their character(s)", but rather both men made mistakes.

However, one (Lewis) was accused, ultimately, of obstructing an investigation: he made a mistake in trusting his undeserving entourage of "home boys" too much ... and the police (trying to solve two knifings) too little.

The other (Rothelsburger) was accused of at least sexual assault twice.

Hopefully Ben learns from his mistakes as Lewus seems to have.
If you look at their lives (on and off the field) after these incidents, you will notice two differences: Lewis has spent 12 years channeling his energy, leadership, money and fame into his family and the community...and he STILL gets the treatment such as the Sporting News idiocy!

Ben has had less time to show he might actually be a good person who made a couple of mistakes, if he chooses to do so...time and his current and fuure life activites will tell!

Every team has them (like TruDat, LockerCombo, etc.) and they all type first and MAYBE think second (if at all)!
