Ravens need a W on Sunday against the Colts.

    What's your score prediction?

    I'll say:

    Ravens 24
    Colts 17

I wouldn't call it positive thinking. I think it'll be a close game. I want to see Ray go out a winner, so I put the Ravens on top.

Ravens win this game despite the Colts taking Ray Rice out of the game. Flacco plays well and the Ravens Defense overwelms Luck and the Colts. 23-14 Ravens

Do you mean by injury? Because their defense certainly isn't very good at stopping the run.

History suggests you are correct in that statement unless they are playing the Ravens.

Newsome is good. Harbaugh is ok. Cameron and Pees are abysmal and Flacco is average. They will miss the playoffs this year, or, if they manage to back their way in, will be out in the first round. We're not crazy. We're just not under the illusion this team is anything other than what it is, record be damned.
    Talk about consistency...

Brilliant deduction. How long did that take you to deduce? Did you need help?

    Ray Rice vs. the Colts:
    12/11/11 - 103 yards rushing (TD), 46 yards receiving
    01/16/10 - 67 yards rushing, 60 yards receiving
    11/22/09 - 71 yards rushing, 64 yards receiving
    10/12/08 - 23 yards rushing, 64 yards receiving

four game average vs. the Colts: 66 yards rushing, 58.5 yards receiving, 124.5 combined yards

For his career, Ray Rice averages 106.9 combined yards per game (71.7/35.2). The Colts don't have a history of taking him out of the game.

Maybe so, but you were originally talking about stopping the run, not the screen pass. Averaging 66 yards of rushing isn't exactly lighting up the rush defense. Especially considering what most teams do to the Colt run defense.

Ray only averages 71.7 per game anyway, so 66 isn't that far off. And as we all know, "taking Ray Rice out of the game" isn't just about stopping the run.
