Default Andy Reid to the Chiefs

Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs have reached an agreement to become the team's next head coach, NFL.com Steve Wyche's reported.

Reid, the former Philadelphia Eagles coach for the past 14 years, was reported to be close to a deal with the Chiefs Thursday and was in the process of canceling potential interviews with the San Diego Chargers and Arizona Cardinals.

Reid wanted to bring former Cleveland Browns general manager Tom Heckert with him if he accepted the Chiefs job, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, and Friday morning the Chiefs "mutally parted ways" with their general manager of four years, Scott Pioli.

    That didn't take long

Wow. So I guess the rumors that he had become the Cards HC were false. Thanks for the update.

Well, they've got some talent. I don't see him succeeding though.

Reid will be successful there eventually. The Chiefs at least won't be doormats anymore.

The Chiefs have talent, just not behind center...once they address their qb issues they will be more competitive...unless he decideds to bring Vick with him....then he will be stuck in the mud for years...
