I am not talking about those that choose not to have insurance. We are talking about those that do and have not been paid. Does an insurance policy issued by your government not have any value?
Well that is what happens, when liberals, like you want to bail out GM, the post office year after year, millions more for companies like Solyndra etc etc. Sooner or later even the Government runs out of money.

That's irrelevant. Prior to 2010, results showed that Eastern Shore residents preferred reps east of the Bay Bridge.

Parts of the District are not on the Eastern Shore.

Are you aware that those voters have rights as well?

Are you claiming that the election was not legal?

I don't think anyone said everything in the bill was pork, but to pretend there is none at all is disengious at best. It's quite the stretch to claim that everything in that bill is storm related and necessary

The quoted post, which is a reprint of a list I saw on Fox although not cited by the poster, is being claimed to all be pork in the Bill. I also believe I saw it reported that Harris also voted against the original HR which did not include the pork!!!!

Everything with you and your ilk is aimed at the so called liberals who in your limited mind are responsible for all the spending in government. Your friends helped drive us where we are today.

Now find any reference to me calling for bailing out GM,the post office or funding Solyndra. I'll wait!!

No. The pork was put in to buy GOP votes.
98% of the legislators are basically interchangeable.

So, imho, it was a good vote that Harris cast ( against) and he even bucked his own party to vote for what's best for the country overall. Not to mention voting against temporary, immediate ( though very costly and deficit unfriendly) benefit to a few of his constituents, but again, in the interest of the greater good.

Good job on this one by Harris

Relax. You're reaching in an attempt to cause friction in this debate. I only said that I am shocked at the lack of a Republican primary opponents against Harris. Historically, Eastern Shore residents support someone from their side of the bridge.

BS Bud, You and others have repeated that line about him not being from the shore or not spending enough time on the shore. We all agree that the shore should be it's own district but as long as it is NOT all voters have an equal voice.
Blame your buddy O'Malley. Not Harris.

My friends. Bush leaves office 7 trillion dollar debt. Four years later with Obama 15 trillion. He inherited a bad situation and made it twice as bad. And its going to get worse with more trillions added by Obamacare. Finally would you please tell me how you know that all the people in NJ, NY and Md. who were flooded out and are now asking for help from an already broke government actually took out private flood insurance to protect themselves. Living near the ocean a wonderful thing. But if you do not protect yourself from the attendant risks that go with it why should someone living hundreds or thousands of miles away from the shore have to pay for your loss?

First....Bush left office with an 11 trillion debt.

Second....I don't know how many flood insurance claims there are in NJ,Ny and Md or elsewhere. I have only been focused on Maryland. According to press reports, see attached, there are 800 families on the Eastern Shore who have made claims in accordance with their insurance policy.

The Eastern Shore unfortunately does not have a large enough population to have a Congressman of their own.

When a strong storm comes into the Bay it might as well be on the Ocean. How many of those 800 claims have been wrongfully denied by the insurance companies? How many have been settled? Or doesnt any of that matter to you? Just keep that federal spigot open huh?
