Default Bel Air bank robbed Friday, second time in 18 days

According to State Police, the robber displayed a black "bullpup" style pistol grip, short-barreled shotgun, which he had concealed under his jacket, and ordered the tellers behind the counter to open the cash drawers.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, State Police said.

The robber was described as a white male, approximately 6'0 to 6'2" tall, wearing a dark color flannel jacket with a hood, blue jeans, black boots, ball cap and a dust mask covering his face.

Next time i hope the police have a stakeout going and blow his white trash rear end away as he exits the bank.

I never understood why people rob banks - not only are there a number of things that can easily go wrong, but don't banks still have those die pack things, that look like bundles of money? They go off and ruin all the money by exploding ink all over everything....the bank is reimbursed through insurance, of course, but the criminal gets bupkis.

The bank on Maryland Route 924 was robbed twice within less than a month.

    More info from the piece:

In the earlier holdup, the robber was described as a white man in his 40s who was wearing a hard hat, a dust or surgical mask, blue jeans, work boots and a plaid flannel shirt. He ran off to the rear of the bank and remains at large.

Friday evening, Kloiber said via e-mail that there are dress similarities between both Sovereign holdups.

"I can say the suspect in both robberies at the Sovereign Bank was wearing the same flannel jacket, a dust mask and the shotgun looked the same," Kloiber said. "At this point I am unable to definitively say if the suspect wearing the attire is in fact the same person."

Bold individual, especially if he's behind both robberies.
