Police arrested a man in connection to a Carroll County murder just hours after the incident was reported, authorities said.
Maryland State Police said they responded to a 911 call just after 4:00 a.m. in the 100 block of West Main Street in Westminster Saturday. When officers arrived they found Edward C. Zepp, 61 dead on his back porch. Police said Zepp had trauma to his neck and found evidence of a forced entry.
Witnesses said they heard a struggle occurring in Zepp’s apartment around 4:00 a.m. A white man was seen fleeing from the area around the same time.
