Default Playoff Game thread Colts vs Ravens 1/6/13

Well, here we are People. 1st playoff game this season. Ravens will have to be smart with the football, and even smarter with less penalties. Colts will come out gunning at Williams like every other team has this year. We just need to keep Indy's Luck on the sideline most of the game.

We all know this will be Ray's last dance at M&T and possibly game as a Raven. I'm trying to stay focused on the game though, hopefully the team is also. I'm starting this way early , the game starts in about 9 and half hours, I'm not sure where I will be......

    Lets go RAVENS!!!!!

Bryant McKinnie is starting at LT today. Thank God. Oher moving to RT - Osemele to LG in all likelihood. This is good news. It's our best 5 on the O-Line.

    Go Ravens.

McKinnie got totally trashed on the 24x7 board after last week's game, but I thought he still did a better job than Oher. As far as the best possible O-line goes, I think the Ravens got it right for today's game.

A good friend of mine (who's a huge NFL fan) often says "sports are soap operas for guys." I can't remember a game with more soap operatic sub-plots than this one. Roone Arledge was the father of using "storylines" to promote games, I think he would've loved this one:
Indy's history with the city, their move and return today.
    Ray's last game.
The Ravens inability (so far) to get past Indy in the playoffs
Pagano's cancer, AND Pagano facing his old team.
Caldwell running the offense against his old team, after his late season promotion.
Cory Redding returns to M&T wearing an Indy jersey.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some sub-plots, I just wish 1:00 would get here!

That s a great analogy! I've thought that before myself.

Playing the role of the antagonist: WCR! Just kidding.
