I think that rg3 is smart and good enough to become a pocket passer. With that said, as you get older and injured you don't get faster. The deadskins can't continue to use the zone read threat as a large part of their offense or his career will be short and injury plagued. He needs to be more like luck: run when you have to, the run isn't a large part of your offense.

Most of that was by design becuase of the oline, who run blocks well but not as much in pass protection.

Flacco was making throws Sunday that Bob Griffin III could only dream of making. Ross Tucker former NFL lineman and Sirius Radio NFL Morning Kickoff and Morning Drive talk host said this morning that Flacco throws the best deep ball in the NFL.

Said it before when he was off to that great start, and I'll say it again... he might be a very good QB, he might have the potential to be a great QB... but if they continue to use him in the gimmicky fashion they did this season... he will never live up to the hype long term. The mere threat of his running ability opened up SO MANY of his big plays this season. QBs with great careers need to excel from the pocket. If he keeps getting hit and abused the way he has this year, that running threat will disappear, and it'll be a completely different game for him. Do they want an all-world-potential highlight reel (that spends a lot of time in the training room) for a few years, or do they want a "Ring of Honor" type long-term career player? Shanahan better wise up...
Anybody with an ounce of brains who has followed the NFL for any length of time would agree with your observation. (Not trying to minimize what you are saying as you are spot on, but pointing this out for the benefit of our resident DC/Yankee fan troll who refuses to believe this and acts like he knows more than we Ravens fans). This has even played out in front of his own eyes and he is such a donkey he refuses to concede the point. I have never seen anyone so arrogantly wrong about anything in my life as Hail2BNG on this point you and any average intelligence NFL fan can clearly see with RGIII. Shanhan has ruined the kid already.

Weird that Griffin has a much better completion percentage on passes over 20 yards. But some guy said something so you do with that.

If you say so. We'll see if the adjustments stick when he is all healed up and ready to go next season.

I was there at the game and saw first hand those awesome throws to Boldin. That is what Ross Tucker, former NFL player was speaking about. But you know more than he right? How many years did you play in the NFL genius?

If he says so? Who believes anything this ignorant troll has to say here?

And when I give you the dozens of former players (much more accomplished than Ross) who are in awe of Griffin, you dismiss it. You're such a damn fraud.

I don't know who you have been hearing this from lately, but I listen to Sirius every day and most of the folks there are saying they are now voting for Russell Wilson as the top rookie in the NFL. You need to be more current son.

Those folks must be like you and they don't watch whole seasons but rely on highlights and partial games.

So you know more about the NFL games, players, and performance than Ross Tucker, Amante Toomer, Bob Papa, Rich Gannon, Randy Cross, Adam Schein, Jim Miller, Pat Kirwan??? This is all these guys do, follow the NFL and analyze the games. You are the biggest joke on this forum. You think anyone takes you seriously son? Sad, just sad.

Are you claiming they have all said they think Wilson is the best rookie QB? If so, they must hear their show for people like you who don't really follow football.

The consensus was it would be a tough choice to name a top rookie between

Luck, Wilson, Griffin and Morris. However, after the Seattle/Redskin game most are saying they are now voting for Wilson. Since, Luck, Griffin and Morris will all be watching the next round of playoffs at home, I would say Wilson is in the lead unless he totally bombs out against Atlanta.

However, that is just a guess on my part. It is possible many voters may feel sorry for Bob due to his unfortunate injury and give him the sympathy vote. Personally, if I had a vote I would give it to Alfred Morris. Second in the NFL in rushing and all time Redskin rushing record as a rookie. I think he deserves it more than any rookie QB at this point, but if Wilson takes Seattle to the superbowl he would have to get it.

You might want to make that season after next.

Correct. Who really cares one way or the other.

Well, I agree with that. Seems like a great kid, I don't wish him any ill will.

But I don't care much about the Redskins. I do agree with the idea that if he keeps getting hit the way he has, he won't last but a few years at best.

No, it sounds like they don't know yet if they're looking at a new injury. Sounds inconclusive at this point so they're looking again today.

As a listener of that station, and it really is a great station for football talk, you should know that most of those people you mentioned have held the highest respect for the talent, leadership, and potential of RGIII.

He's not listening when they say that.
