Default Flacco Superb, gets B- from Mike Preston

A 125.6 Quarterback Rating, brilliant throws to Boldin, and great leadership despite Ray Rice coughing up the ball twice deep in Indy territory. The vaunted Andrew Luck was rated 59.8.

Geez, I'm glad I never had MP for a teach!

Flacco was very fortunate that the wideouts outfought the DB's on a couple of deep balls he just chucked in the general vicinity. He played a good game, but IMO that QB rating is a bit deceiving.

Gonna have a lot less time in the pocket next week and less room for error so he's gonna need to step his game up a bit more and avoid making the costly mistakes he made the first time the Ravens and Broncos met.

At least two of those passes to Boldin were so on the money perfect that I couldn't believe I was looking at the Flacco I've been watching throw airballs to empty areas of the field all year.

    He had a great game.

Between Ellerbie, Lewis and Kruger he graded them rather low, they gave up zero TD's on D, I can live with that.

Preston still pining for Troy Smith. Also if he thinks Michael Oher had a good game he must have been listening on the radio. The defensive end ran rings around him the first half. Put Brady or Peyton behind the Ravens OL and they would not be heading for any SB. I truly believe Preston is unhappy when Flacco plays well because he so wants Rice to be The Man who wins games.

TDL-they were not "chucked" they were definitely by design to allow only our players to get them, over the shoulder or high on the jump....Tanden Doss missed two of those, he is not ready to replace Boldin that is for sure

Doss couldn't catch anything above his head. I saw at least 2 or 3 where he went up, the ball hits his hands and bounces off incomplete. He needs some stickum!

Flacco made at least two very questionable throws that he is lucky did not go for int's. One would have been a pick six. He was running for his life and launched a ball off his back foot and leaning to his right a bit. From one replay angle you could not even see any purple when he released the ball, just a white uniform of the opposing team. How he could even try to do that scares me and what got us killed vs. Denver earlier.

If Joe is a B-, what does that make Andy Dalton?

Flacco's game was solid yesterday, B sounds about right. He needs an A++++++++++ game this Saturday.

Isn't that the job of the wideouts? I can see Boldin telling Joe, "Just get it here and I'll go up and get it". Tandon Doss dropped at least 2. B- is a little harsh.

At least he didn't throw a pick 6 like Schaub did. But you're right, it probably was to kind.

LOL Schaub. It's funny how the same conditions that are always applied to Flacco isn't applied to other QB's. Will Dalton be called out for not bein able to win a playoff game? Will Schaub be called out for have a subpar playoff game at home? If Houston were to lose, will he be called out for not winning a road playoff game.

Right. I was there and Flacco threw some deep passes that were pure beauty, right on the money and throws most QBs in the league cannot make with that degree of accuracy. He should have had another TD pass to Doss for sure. Doss needs to get some stickum for his hands before he takes the field as a receiver again.

    Doss is flat out terrible.
