The 2000 Ravens had the luxury of getting pressure in passing situations with their front four (Marvin Lewis wasn't blitz happy, they just flat out beat the guys in front of them). These Ravens don't have that kind of O-line right now. And beating Manning and Brady back-to-back, on the road, while going blitz crazy... eeesh. One can pray...

They also had an offense that if they fell behind by 14 points were incapable of scoring points in a hurry. The 2012 team is totally different; there's no comparison of the two teams. The only comparison I was making was with Ray's spotlight presence. (And the fact that they were major underdogs in 2000 as well.)

The first game was a lot closer than the score indicated. Lowest passing yrds for Manning this season. We have more than a slim chance.

MY GOD!!! I would just like to strangle ESPN!!!! OK, I know you can't strangle a network...but you know what I mean.

Ravens will be coming in with a badass attitude and will need to create turnovers & capitalize on the Broncs mistakes. Flacco gets in a groove and it's lights out.

I just read this article she wrote. I think it's a great article. 90% is positive. The part about the drug pusher is a story I've never heard. The other 10% just states the facts about what happened in Atlanta. Not sure what the issue is here. Ray is still talking about Atlanta, not sure why a writer wouldn't be able to mention it.

Both of her articles were well written and fair. The perspective in the Ray article is probably what 95% were across the country.

When Big Ben's and Tiger Woods' careers are over, off the field activities will be substantial parts of the scripts.

As to the Ravens against Denver, well....all they have to deal with is travel, a short week, the altitude, one of the loudest crowds, Manning, and the #1 seed. Straight up, and outside of Maryland, what percentage is picking the Broncos? 70%? 80%?

Then again, the Ravens are somewhat healthy again, and resilient as hell. They've done better than most under Harbaugh in playoff games. And it's the NFL....one (un)lucky bounce is all it takes some times.

Anyone who writes that any team in any game has no chance of victory has 1. a pathetically large ego, and 2. no idea of what they are talking about.

Whether she ends up right or wrong, she's an idiot for writing such a ridiculous article.
The fact is, most of the writing that comes out of ESPN is crap, so it's not a surprise.

She must be related to Skip Clueless. Pray for snow in Denver on Saturday.

Why don't the Ravens just concede this game now?

The 2000 team also had 4 Hofers and Jamal lewis a future 2000 yard rusher. 2000 team was loaded just had tony banks for the first 8 weeks

I think they need me to make the trip with me carrying my Ray Fathead for support.

BTW -- good to see you there. I also ran into Eastside Terp and daravenator. And before that, HKusp at the Giants game.

    so glad you enjoyed it

For me timing is everything. Leading up to Rays last home game she has to bring Atlanta back up, and tell us how she will never forget it.

Why was it necessary now ? .....
This week was about Ray's football legacy not Atlanta
This week was about his last home game...
This week was about Baltimore Ravens fans saying goodbye and enjoying him coming out of the tunnel ........IT WAS NOT about Ashley Fox.

Typical Inquirer journalism....always stirring the pot.
