I really think number 24 was a major reason the Ravens did so well. I also think 59 is a beast but he needs to stop getting hurt. For some reason he can't stay healthy. All this being said isn't it funny the middle has become solid on D now that the other two mlb's are not playing. Sad they were hurt but it is nice to see less yardage being given when Ray and 59 are in.

Ellerbie 59, Grahm and the other new cb have been pretty good.

I voted for Boldin; I am in favor of the strategy of just throwing the ball up there and letting him go get it because he almost always gets it.

I think an honorable mention should go to Bernard Pierce.

On defense the whole squad was MVP. So good to see all those guys out there and up to speed: Pollard, Lewis, Ellerbee, Ngata. Kruger is a beast.

    Ellerbe

    Honarable Mention:
Boldin, Pierce, McKinnie, Torrey Smith (that was some great blocking), Flacco, Ray Lewis and our cover corners.

I voted for Flacco. He came thru when he had to. Zero interceptions, zero fumbles, and 1 sack. And close to 300 yards passing on only 12 completions.

^^^^This. He had a 125 QB rating and totally dominated the game in the second half after Caldwell opened up the offense. But does he get credit for it? Hardly.

(I have a feeling the only way a lot of Ravens fans will ever appreciate Joe Flacco is if he ends up playing for another team. What do people think...that Boldin threw the passes to himself? He did what he was supposed to do -- he caught the pinpoint passes thrown to him by his QB. But who gets the credit? Boldin, not Flacco. It's amazing to me.)

Boldin without a doubt. He made the difference on offense. He was outstanding.

I don't think voting for Boldin takes away from Flacco's performance. Yes, Joe had a great game but Boldin made the difference.

If you had told me 5 years ago that we have a QB that would lead us to the playoffs 5 straight years and win at least 1 playoff game each year, I would've said, "get outta here!"

What fans don't remember is what it was like before Flacco!

I voted for Flacco (Boldin was a close 2nd), even if 12-23 isn't exactly a Hall Of Fame stat. He threw 2 td passes, had no turnovers. The other guy did pretty well for a rookie in his first ever playoff game, but he fumbled & threw a pick and had no td passes in 54 attempts. And in a "Quarterback Driven League"(TM), that makes Flacco the MVP yesterday, despite lots of exellent contributions from both sides of the ball.

Flacco. If any other QB had played that same game yesterday, we'd be lauding his "clutchness". The throw to Pitta, on the move after McKinney got beaten like a drum and with Freeney grabbing his legs from behind as he released it. The bomb to Boldin after extending the play. The beautifully thrown ball dropped in to Boldin's arms in stride down the sideline. The quick decisions he made at the goal line, twice hitting Doss in the hands for would-be TDs. If Rodgers throws that same pass to Jordy Nelson and he catches it, the broadcast crew is (rightfully) heaping praise on the quick decision and strong, perfect throw where "only his receiver could catch the ball". Instead Doss lets them both get away, and people will suggest he threw it too hard, or it was a few inches too this or that. His raw numbers don't do justice to how well he played Sunday (thanks in part to three drops by Doss, one by Jones, and yet another shaky effort in pass pro from the O-line).

It was close IMO between Boldin and Flacco but I gotta give it to Boldin. If he doesn't catch those nicely thrown passes the Ravens don't win that game. All you need to do is compare Boldin to Doss. Throws were there but Doss doesnt catch them.

    Exactly.

(AND a drop by Rice, as well as 2 fumbles by Rice. That could have easily un-nerved any "average" QB. But Flacco just kept on truckin. And winning.)

I second that. Krueger played like a beast the entire game.
