Yes, that's not a typo. Just thinking back to the performance of the Ravens offense when Peyton Manning is simply IN UNIFORM on the other sideline through the years.
2005 regular season... the Ravens score their only TD late in the 4th quarter. Garbage time.
2006 playoffs... the Ravens score ZERO TDs on offense. They lose 5 FGs to 2.
2007 regular season... the Ravens get blown out with half a Pro Bowl roster of talent sitting on the sideline. Figurs gets a kick return TD, but the actual OFFENSE doesn't get in the endzone until the 4th quarter. Garbage time.
2009 regular season... No TDs on offense. 5 FGs.
2009 playoffs... No TDs, one FG.
2011... Ravens score some TDs, but Manning doesn't play.
2012 regular season (now with DEN)... no TDs through the first 3 quarters.
So... the last 6 times the Ravens have played against Peyton Manning (as the active starter)... the offense has failed to score a SINGLE TD in the first 3 quarters of ANY GAME.
And it's not like the Colts had an all-world defense during his time there. The Broncos however do have a well-rounded defense, but ZERO offensive TDs in the first 3 quarters, six straight times against Peyton Manning? That almost seems impossible. It's creepy.
They haven't scored a single TD that "really mattered" before garbage time against a Peyton Manning led team since... sometime before 2005!
