    You're welcome, Wes.

What is really interesting is that the Supreme Court used the case of a black man prosecuted for a hate crime against a white to uphold such laws. Some folks here think that cannot happen.

I was being a little cryptic to see if anyone here recognized the name, but I guess not. Since this case stemmed from the reaction to a racially charged movie, it seems quite apropos to mention it here.

great! Thanks for the spoiler! (kidding)

I don't think it's raw emotions on slavery thats causing the attention. I'd say it's simply hype and that the target audience does not have raw emotions on the themes presented, they just like the directors style. All his movies get attention, no matter the topic. The guy knows what he's doing and he does it well.

Stylized violence, big name actors in roles you don't usually see them in, dialog thats cool, odd music....it's great escapism. Just my opinion based on his movies I've seen. I haven't seen the movie but I have a feeling I'd like it.

But really, It's silly to focus any attention on Twitter. When everyone and anyone has a public voice, there will be morons talking out their collective butts.

This Twitter story is gold for the film. This movie has gotten so much free hype it's amazing.

Yeah. All of QT's films are basically the same stylistically no matter the subject. I'm a big fan of some of his earlier stuff. Not so much the recent films he's done like Kill Bill. But DU is pretty darn entertaining.

Once again we are in agreement. Twitter and Facebook make it too easy for people to say dumb stuff that they wouldn't say at work or in a room full of strangers.
