    Default Stupid Dangerous Drivers

I am injured and currently have to use a cane to walk and am throughly P***** off by stupid drivers. When crossing the street at intersections I have been subject to something that besides being illegal is stupid and dangerous.
It takes me longer than it used to to cross a street because of an injured leg and walking with a cane, some drivers in a hurry to make a turn will drive around me as I am crossing the street with the traffic light and or crossing signal. They will make their turn before I have finished crossing the the street. I have had drivers drive behind me into a lane of oncoming traffic or drive around in front of me and nearly hit me as I am crossing the second lane.
I apologize for being slow but I think my life is worth more than the 5 or 10 seconds they will be further delayed by waiting while I finish crossing the street. What if I stumble or fall as you are driving around me? Honking your horn and or giving me the finger will not make me be able to walk any faster.

People please show some courtesy to the injured, aged or infirm as they are crossing the street, it will only take a few seconds of your time and could save a life or spare someone injury.

MarkP, you shouldn't have to apologize for other's rude behavior.

I hope your legs heals well.

I know exactly what you mean. I have had a horn honked at me on numerous occasions due to waiting for a pedestrian in the process of crossing the street. Hope your leg improves.

    Mark,

Had someone pull that crap on me a couple of summers ago. He was making a left as I was approaching the drivers side.As he pulled up beside me he blew his horn, flipped me off and cussed me out. Guess I wasn't moving fast enough for him.

It was a shame to waste a 32 ounce big gulp in his lap.

    I still laugh about it.

Of course they've had a friggin' driver's ed. course: it's called NAS-effin'-CAR, & the wild yet thoroughly professional driving they see there on controlled, commercial tracks they have the inalienable, God-given, natural right to go & practice on public hi-ways & by-ways to their amateurish, self-absorbed, loonball content.
