The White House and gun control supporters are gearing up for a whirlwind month, with plans to pass reform legislation before outrage over the Sandy Hook massacre has a chance to fade.

So lets not hear any complaints about using tragedies for political gain, according to Obama never waste a good crisis.

The makeup of congress is different now then it was during the health care debate. It will never pass the house, and is at least questionable for the senate. There are a few democratic senators and a number of democratic representatives from conservative states that would be committing political suicide if they pass anything seen as too extreme or intrusionary.

If President Obama passed a law that says felons found in possession of a firearm or ammunition, would be sentenced to a MANDATORY 10 year sentence, our homicide rate would drop a amazing quick.

Stats show that 90 percent of people who commit homicide have a felony record.

Too many guns already in society to think that police can make a difference by confiscating guns, we need to severely punish felons caught with guns.

If homicides drop dramatically because felons are sent to prison for 10 years, for having a firearm in their possession, than crank the sentence up to 15 years.

Think about it, if you take all mass homicides committed in the US in 2012, it does not even equal the murder count in the City of Baltimore for 2012.

Becuase it is the assult weapons that are being used in these massacures. And these nuts have clean criminal records. In NY the guy used a "straw purchaser" to get the weapons that killed those firemen.
