    Anne Arundel County authorities said 13 businesses sold alcohol to minors during their Operation Selective Alcohol Violation Enforcement.

    The Anne Arundel County Police Department, the Anne Arundel County Health Department and the Anne Arundel County Liquor Board participated in Operation S.A.V.E. over the last two months.

    Police said they used underage individuals to attempt to purchase alcohol in several alcohol establishments throughout the county to ensure compliance.

    Default Two Baltimore County men charged in armed robbery of Lisbon pharmacy

    Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of two employees, who were bound and placed in the bathroom, at a Lisbon pharmacy last week.

    Anthony Chester Sering, 27, of Dundalk, and Anthony Alascio, 27, of Halethorpe, were each charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, carjacking, reckless endangerment and gun charges, according to a Howard County Police news release.

    I get most of my liquor in Anne Arundel County at Total Wine & More in Laurel. They require ID from everyone who shops there. They don’t care if you are 80 years old – they will card you. I knew that this place would not be on that non-compliance list.

    Default MSP identify victims in Cecil County triple shooting

    Maryland State Police Homicide officials on Tuesday said they have identified victims in Monday's triple shooting in Port Deposit that also left the suspected gunman injured.

    A statement issued Tuesday by the State Police said that one of the victims, Timothy S. Hammons, 48, of the 200 block of Craigstown Road in Port Deposit, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, Eileen L. Roland, 56, of the 2400 block of Philadelphia Road in Edgewood, suffered a gunshot wound and was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center by a State Police helicopter with life-threatening injuries.

    Police did not release the identity of the suspect due to its ongoing investigation. They said the suspect was found nearby with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was transported to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del., with life-threatening injuries.

    It happened Monday night in Port Deposit, where authorities say a man inside a home on Craigstown Road shot two people during a heated argument and then fled.

    One man, identified as 48-year-old Timothy S. Hammons, died at the scene. A second victim, Eileen L. Roland, was flown to a hospital with what police say are life threatening injuries.

    Police found the suspected gunman nearby with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He’s also being treated at a hospital.

    Default Former criminal investigations chief in Carroll County pleads guilty to misconduct

    The Carroll County Sheriff's Department's former head of criminal investigations pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to a misdemeanor charge of misconduct in office, and has been sentenced to a suspended one-year jail term, three years of probation, a fine and community service.

    Nicholas Plazio, who resigned as a major in the Sheriff's Department last week after the charge was brought by the Maryland state prosecutor, entered the plea in Circuit Court before Judge Michael Galloway.

    Plazio was accused of giving false statements to the county State's Attorney and the court last year and in 2011 in connection with his role in the investigation of a homicide that took place in Hampstead in 2010.

    Officers sent an underage volunteer into 47 stores to buy alcohol. If the volunteer was successful, the business was referred to the county Board of License Commissioners. Police said they were able to buy alcohol at:

    One of the men then duct taped the wrists of one employee and zip tied the hands and feet of the other.

    Both employees were taken to the bathroom and told to lay on the floor, police said.

    The two men the fled the pharmacy in a Honda Civic, which belonged to one of the employees, police said. Police said the two men stole drugs, money from the cash box and a cell phone belonging to one of the employees.

    Default Two Sykesville men facing charges after Harford County assault

    Once outside in the parking lot, the two victims were getting inside one of the victim's vehicles when Hadley opened the driver's side door, pulled the driver out of the vehicle and began assaulting him.

    The other victim attempted to help his friend but was then assaulted by eight to 10 unknown men, according to the charging documents.

    Police said while one victim was lying on the ground unconscious and the other was being assaulted by the group of men, Hadley drove away in the victim's Chrysler 300M.
