Default Will Reverend Jeremiah Wright be Delivering Obama's Inaugural Invocation?

Nope, but I'm sure the usual suspects will find the usual faults with the selection

President Obama has picked Myrlie Evers-Williams, widow of slain civil rights icon Medgar Evers, to deliver the invocation at his public swearing-in later this month. It is believed to be the first time a woman, and a layperson rather than a clergy member, has been chosen to deliver what may be America’s most prominent public prayer.

The inaugural committee Tuesday plans to announce that the benediction will be given by conservative evangelical pastor Louie Giglio, founder of the student-focused Passion Conferences, which draw tens of thousands of people to events around the world.

The contrasting choice of speakers are typical of a president who has walked a sometimes complicated path when it comes to religion — working to be inclusive to the point that critics at times have questioned his faith....

    She is a wonderful choice.

The usual suspects will likely not have much to say unless there is an article on the Drudgereport or the WCBM web site from one of their American Thinker or World Nut Daily~type sources to tell them how to feel about the choice so they can cut and paste it here.

Either that or they'll just make some totally unrelated inane asinine comment.

I wonder if that cheap, common grifter Michelle Obama will do something unrelated, inane and asinine like invite the family of that pathetic thug "Trayvon" to sit next to her at the podium?

Of course the usual suspects would not have much to say about that unless there is an article in talkingpointsmemo.com or Daily Kos or the MSNBC web site from one of their leftwing~type sources to tell them how to feel about the choice so they can cut and paste it here.

I kind of wish Wright would deliver his inaugural address, just to watch the right go into an apopleptic fit.

He should have gotten some imam to do it.

Couldn't he just have posted some of the Twitter messages from "Trayvon" instead of reading from the teleprompter?

Tickets are sold out but you can get a scalped ticket to one of the balls for about $5k.

    Sushilover--

This is a future event. Why are you using the past tense?

Hey, Michelle's cousin is a rabbi. Maybe they can get him.

Well ~ Even if he doesn't he can still use Thomas Jefferson's Koran for the swearing~in ceremony.

How do you know she is a "wonderful choice"? Have you heard her speak? Have you read anything she's written? Or are you just winging this one?

Rob Parker wants to know if she is a "cornball sistah" and is she "down with the cause"?

    Giglio bows out

WASHINGTON — An evangelical minister who was asked to give the benediction at President Obama's inauguration ceremony pulled out of the event Thursday after a controversy about comments he made against homosexuality in the 1990s.

On Tuesday, the presidential inaugural committee announced that it had invited the Rev. Louie Giglio, head pastor of Passion City Church in Atlanta, to participate in the Jan. 21 ceremony. Soon afterward, the liberal website ThinkProgress posted excerpts and an audio file of a sermon Giglio gave in the mid-1990s, in which he criticizes homosexuality as profoundly antithetical to Christianity.

He should ask his imam or mufti to do it.

Perhaps DaggerJohn is familiar with her story, her past, her activism, and who she is and that is why her selection seems to bother him so much. There's just no telling why a selection like this would raise his ire. Perhaps he'll explain why he has a problem with it. There is no reason for him to suddenly become bashful. It clearly upsets him.

I love when it sushi/gene and jeebus let their fingers do the walking. They are true representatives of the right wing and the Republican Party. Its a shame they don't step out from behind their computer and share their BS with the world.

They would fit right in with Alex Jones!

Invocation? Gee, I hope all the atheists have left by the time this egregious violation of the separation of church and state occurs.
