It isn't logic at all. And actually it is false looking at the stats. The QB's with the highest YPA are also the ones with the highest completion percentage, namely Griffin, Peyton, Rodgers, etc.

Top 4 QB's in YPC have completion percentages of 57.7, 54.8, 54.1, 53.9.
Griffith is 5th with a 65%.
