One needn't be afraid of a gun to feel that having one strapped to your back in public is irrational.

There's a time and place for everything. If I came to work in just my underwear and if people looked at me like I was crazy, and reported me to HR, it's not because they're afraid of my underwear...

Wrong as usual. Machine guns were not "outlawed." They are perfectly legal to own.

You are free to purchase a machine gun if you can afford one.

Thanks for pointing it out. There are over 250,000 legally owned machine guns in the USA. Only once - one time, that's it - has a legally owned machine gun been used to commit a crime, and that was by a police officer in Dayton Ohio.

Again, you speak from ignorance. The only "inability" that prevents most people from owning a machine gun is money. The average selling price for a transferable M-16 is close to $20,000, and many desirable models go for more.

Well with all due respect, you are very ignorant when it comes to posting about firearms laws. I mean, you really are clueless.

Yet if someone did such a thing at work would you consider it irrational if work started instituting some form of underwear control? Like guns, underwear isn't the problem.

You ever been to Maine? Everyone hunts. Even people living in Portland.

Most people in Maine are comfortable seeing hunters with rifles, so the only people calling 911 are anti-gun nuts looking to stir up trouble because they are all riled up with the gun debate going on.

Now we're getting somewhere. A little reverse psychology works.

This is just something that RWNJs just don't want to hear.
