The black boot of tyranny appears when the government is threatened. The people must be made to understand.

An excellent article by Judge Napolitano on the essence of natural rights. Our current gun laws are unconstitutional and effectively neuter the people of their ability to resist tyranny.

    I might add ~

Iowa grab-nutter Dem wants to do the same thing - retroactively ban and confiscate.

In an interview with the Daily Times Herald in Carroll, Iowa, state Rep. Dan Muhlbauer said governments should start confiscating semi-automatic rifles and other firearms.

“We should ban those in Iowa,” he said, adding that such a ban should be applied retroactively.

“We need to get them off the streets — illegally — and even if you have them, I think we need to start taking them,” Muhlbauer told the Daily Times Herald. “We can’t have those out there. Because if they’re out there they’re just going to get circulated around to the wrong people. Those guns should not be in the public’s hands. There are just too many guns.”

It's illegal to take up arms against the government

According to the Constitution that would be Treasonous

You seem to have a hard time acknowledging that Cuomo ~ like O'Malley and like Obama ~ plays better on a national platform than you want to admit. President Obama is so unpopular and disliked that he won twice and most recently when a Republican victory should have been a cakewalk.
You have no evidence whatsoever that either Cuomo or O'Malley play well on a national platform. They come from exceedingly 'blue' states. Neither Cuomo nor O'Malley have Obama's "likeability" factor, nor will either of them turn out the black vote like Obama (which was indispensible to his victories.)

He is. He's already back-pedalled from apparently having used the word "confiscation".

I doubt the Black vote was decisive for Obama in states like Colorado, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Hampshire etc...

I'll take bets on that. Two arrogant lefty New Yorkers (with horrible voices) on the same ticket? No way. I predict that Andrew will fold just like his father Mario did. Remember Mario?

And you have no evidence that they won't play well nationally. Oh, they won't play well down south but who knows at this time how they do in the rest of the country.

But I'm not touting them for President. Both of them play on very select stages: O'Malley even more so than Cuomo.

And the Republican candidates play on a very select stage as well.

Well, we don't know--yet--who those Republican candidates might be for 2016. I certainly haven't advanced any. It's too soon to do that. I expect that the economy will be a wreck by 2016 and that the landscape will be vastly different. It's the MSM, headquartered in the Northeast who gets all excited about Cuomo, O'Malley, and Deval Patrick.

I will say that as a political speaker, Marco Rubio is vastly more compelling than either Cuomo or O'Malley. I've not heard Patrick speak, but in terms of credentials he is a lightweight.

    And Rubio isn't?

Also, credentials are optional. See: Barack Obama.

Patrick comes from a business background and has two terms as governor. His credentials are as strong if not stronger than Obama and Romney.

His problem is that he's from Massachusetts and presidential candidates from MA tend to lose...
