    This seems a bit dated.

If not, there has to be more recent deaths that the OP can use to score political points.
No, political hacks are happy to dredge up any old story.

    +1

I notice how the referenced 'hack" doesn't dredge up its old thread about the fake anti-Muslim hate crime that turned out to be a good ol honor killing.

Wearing a side arm to a soccer game, Brilliant! To bad it didn't help in her own home. This happens often in this violent society and the damage to the kids , unmeasurable.

So true. We read about it daily in Baltimore City, the damage to families and children is readily apparent in the juvenile crime rate, as well as ridiculously low (laughable compared to the rest of the state) academic scores.

Yet.... some choose to ignore the forest to concentrate on a few trees.

Appalachian comes to mind, an area that has been ignored far to long and continues to pay a heavy price.

Yes, one of the poorest areas of the country--many without electricity or running water, and yet......much less violent firearm crime as Baltimore City.

So much for the "poverty = crime" argument, huh?

Way to go, ignoring the blatant differece between the two groups.

Inner city life vs rural mountain life...

    Which is the more stressful?

    Matthew 26:52 -

"Jesus told him, "Put your sword back in its place because all who take up a sword will perish by a sword."

Ben sayin' this for quite some time now - More likely to be killed in your own home, by an upset famiy member/relative, or disgruntled co-worker who owns a gun....than you are from the home invader carrying a gun. True dat.

Newsflash for Captain Obvious - you're more likely to be killed inside your own home by an upset family member/relative who DOESN'T own a gun (or use it to kill you)....than you are from the home invader.

    True dat.

What causes the inner city stress? Maybe the crime? Perhaps?

There you go confusing cause with effect again!

    What about crowding?
Bad environment? (air quality, housing quality, noise, dirt, poor services)

I am not saying that there is no "personal responsibility" involved in the equation.

I AM saying that there are other factors, usually quite beyond a person's control.

Stress increases with population density. There have been tests with mice that show this same phenom!
