Default Harford County Animal Control Fails to protect neighborhood from pitbulls

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/explore/...,0,37434.story

Several residents of the Grace Harbour area in Havre de Grace told the city council they have been scared by pit bull terriers threatening to attack other animals or children in the neighborhood.

Lynn Bradley, of Goldeneye Court, told the council Monday police have been called on several occasions when pit bulls, likely from a property on Squaw Court, have attacked other animals and people.

She said the county animal control office has told residents nothing can be done except continuing to issue citations to the dog owners.
I guess the lesson for the rest of us is to take the first opportunity to kill an attacking dog at the time of the incident.

I am the OWNER of these pitbulls. if you would like to know the real story.. My one year old son opened my back door and my dogs ran out and THEY DID NOT ATTACK A MAN only 2 of the pitbulls attacked his dog and i the dog is fine! i have dealt with this for almost 3 weeks now and im tired of being harrassed. I am in the process of finding my problem female pit a new home. My other 2 are the best dogs i could ever ask for. my female problem dog is ONLY dog aggressive NOT people!!!!!! This article also fails to mention how a resident BEAT my 9 month old puppy half to death with a board with nails sticking out of it and had to have EMERGENCY SURGERY costing me over $4000. she told the cops she hit my puppy 4+ times with the board and no one has said anything about that.....
If the female is an aggressive problem animal put her down. Don't pass it one to the next neighborhood.
As for the claim of a beatin of a puppy that sounds horrible and if true would be a significant criminal charge for the offender.
Unless the dog was attacking, in which case it was a shamefully unfinished job.

Spiked collar is cool! I'll bet 70 pounds at 6 months, nobody messed with him! Do they make good watch dogs?
