Default Seahawks FB Michael Robinson documents shoddy FedEx Field

For such a rich franchise and rich owner, you'd think they could install a safe playable field.

It's also embarrassing for the Redskins and hopefully the league and the team can figure out a way to keep the turf in good shape when players' money and careers are at stake.

Chris Clemons' agent blamed the FedEx Field shoddy surface for causing Clemons to tear his ACL, and it probably didn't help Griffin, already dealing with a sprained LCL.

You can hear his teammates around him inspecting the debacle and describing how the supposed grass was really just painted dirt. You can see Robinson pawing at the surface with his foot before chuckling and say, “This is crazy.”

“The soil over here is bad, man,” Robinson said he pointed his camera at his feet. “This is terrible. This is terrible. … I'm surprised they didn't dump sand in the middle.”
Protecting those expensive players is obviously not a priority for Danny Boy.

It has to be that Maryland dirt they used when they built it.

Somebody there will lose their job over it. The Danny isn't going to tread lightly when it comes to holding someone accountable for Griffin's injury.

The problem really is the amount of sand used. It was pretty embarrassing. They didn't resod midseason assuming they weren't going to be hosting a playoff game. If they can't do a better job, they need to just go to fieldturf, as much as that pains the purist in me.

This is BS. Ladarius Webb blew his ACL out at M&T Bank. It can happen on any surface. However, maybe it is possible that Snyder could have invested more so the real grass is in better shape. Who know's? I still think football was meant to be played on grass.

Mike Rob is no Mack Strong but he is one of my favorite Seahawks.
