How about the Washington Crusaders. Time to get away from all the Congressional names and other political names. You must admit this team has been on a crusade to get things right for years now and maybe a name to signify what their mission is ,is in order..
I know the Washington City Paper which got sued by Dan Snyder does't use the name Redskins, they call the team the Pigskins. Dan Snyder later threw out that lawsuit about a story making fun of his ownership of the team after a lot of negative publicity.
I like the Landover Loggers. We know that tiny twerp Danny Snyder will cut down any tree blocking his view federally protected or not.

Uhh.. the unAbomber is much older than she is...so no I doubt it, and I'm not aware of any Bin Ladens attending Harvard.
If you're going to be a smartass at least try and have SOME facts on your side...damn.
Anyway..they could put up new digs next to the Nats' stadium and name them the Anacostia River Rats...
My two second-place votes:
The RalJohn Wagon Burners
OR
The Landova' Bow Benders
The winner in my book is.....
D.C. Cowboy Killers!
Think of the relevance!

Offensive, really? I used to work with a lady whose name was Neva Runningwolf. A full-blooded Cherokee. You know what, she hated the term, "Native American." I asked her why one day and she just said because we weren't Americans. Oh, and guess what, she was a Redskins fan. Didn't have any problem with that. Why the living hell is EVERYTHING so damn "offensive" these days?
Washington Bullets
It's pretty simple really (unless you are).....if you walk up to an Irishman and yell "Fighting Irish" he'll probably buy you an Ale.
Walk up to a Native American and yell redskin or yell blackskin at an African American, well, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

it's racist as hell ........
Most American Indians are not offended by the name.

I was at the opening of the Museum of the American Indian and the lead singer of a band that played was all decked out in Redskins gear. I am sure if it was offensive that would be the last place you would see this (he was Indian himself).
Racist? How so?
Do you not know that it has been a tradition to name a team after someone or something in order to honor that someone or something?
Growing up, the term "Indian" referred to people who lived in harmony with nature, fought with bravery and gave the US Cavalry everything they wanted!
Of course, the Decatur Staleys (named by, and after, AE Staley the founder) did not seem to offend anyone. That team also had no readily identifiable image.
When they were purchased and moved to Chicago, George Halas changed the name to the Bears because he wanted the team to stand for rough, tough, hard-hitting and never quit football.
Why would he do that pray tell?
