Will Matt Birk Retire?

I would be very interested in how Matt Birk performed his job this season, anyone have some stats? I ask cause Matt Birk states to Andy Moehller on the Broncos/Ravens preview, "this team sucks" it happens just after the one minute mark. That comment blew my mind, and made me sad. One's character really comes out when the going gets tough, so Matt Birk where is your character? Mr. Man of the Year

At around the 1:07 mark you clearly hear Birk say to some coach (Moeller?) as he comes over to the sideline: "This team sucks".

He needs to retire, they Ravens should have moved on at the end of last season. He was only about 7 yards back after every snap in the New England game, Vince Wilfork owned him and dominated him the whole game. He needs help blocking on the inside constantly. he has been a good center but the ravens need to upgrade at center and get younger.

I've listened to it several times as well, and it's hard to pick up whether he says: "This game sucks" or "This team sucks". Either way...he still sucks as much as anyone else on the O-line NOT named Michael Oher.

OK I apologize but you must realize when you or anyone posts stuff like that without a link, you leave a semblance of doubt as to its authenticity...

I think he said, "This game sucks." But, it's hard to tell. And if he did say it sucked, he was right.

The media play on this type of misinformation and soundbites without context, etc. and the public eats it up gluttonously.

N/P. I can see where it might have been unclear, but there's nothing unclear about the fact that Oher sucks the most of anyone on the O-line, especially when you factor in the stupid penalties along with his horrible blocking.
