Default Hall of Fame Cut-Down Day

No surprise, Jonathan Ogden makes the final 17. Art Modell made the cut, as well.

Larry Allen (G/T), Jerome Bettis (RB), Tim Brown (WR), Cris Carter (WR), Curley Culp (DT/G), Edward DeBartolo Jr. (owner), Kevin Greene (LB), Charles Haley (DE), Art Modell (owner), Jonathan Ogden (OT), Bill Parcells (coach), Andre Reed (WR), Dave Robinson (LB), Warren Sapp (DT), Will Shields (G), Michael Strahan (DE), Aeneas Williams (CB)
My prediction...Ogden makes it, and the idiots deny Art again.

I know Cleveland fans won't agree with me, but I believe Modell's induction is well overdue - and I would have said this even if he didn't bring a franchise to Baltimore. He has done so many good things for the NFL to outweigh the bad things, either real or perceived IMHO.

I agree, but at least we will finally have someone who goes into the Hall in Canton as a Raven and it will probably be J.O.

Art should go in not for what he did for the Browns and bringing the NFL back to Baltimore, but his impact on the game, from negotiating TV deals, implementing the first league collective bargaining agreement and being the only person being elected NFL President for 3 years in the late 60s. We have owners like Al Davis who have had worst transgressions than Modell, Davis moved the Raiders twice and sued the NFL a couple of times, George Preston Marshall who was a racist owner of the Redskins which were the last NFL team to integrate their roster. Both Davis and Marshall are in the Hall, how come there is a double standard for Modell? I think its because Canton is 35 miles from Cleveland.

Who's going to Canton if Ogden is voted in?

I wonder if anyone has ever been booed during their induction. That will definitely happen if Modell is ever elected.

So be it. He deserves to be in, even if some people have no taste.

Of course, I probably would gladly accept having no taste if any of the Irsays would somehow be inducted.

I understand why Cleveland fans don't like him. But I imagine tickets to the induction ceremony are expensive, so they'll be dropping a few hundred bucks (or more) just to boo a dead man.

    It's not expensive.

According to this site, tickets to the Enshrinement Ceremony start at $115.

I find HOF's to be much about nothing. I could care less about who does or does not get in.
