So you believe that as our population grows so should the government?

Well Mom, let SongFourOne's nasty reply stand out for you as a lesson in why it is futile to attempt to treat the kook-fringe left in a civilized manner. I'm not sure how Smokey responded to your reply, but generally, on a kooky thread like this, you're going to be barraged with posters like this one. That's why I don't play nice, I like to knock 'em down like dominoes because they're beyond the pale, and it's just mindless entertainment for me.

Yes, it was a nasty post and when kitty makes a kaka on the floor, kitty needs to have her nose rubbed in it.

Oh dear, really kind of dramatic about a 'ROFLMAO and but of course you do'.

Actually, the question should be "

Should Obama and the fascist disarmers be declared a terrorist organization?

Not dramatic at all, just calling it like I see it. If you can't take the heat...

Yes by all mean, and my apologies to Semi-Auto for missing his sarcasm at the beginning.

The last time that only the police and the government had guns, it was the THIRD REICH!

And you answered Monte 3 times. Do you not feel worthy of a title since you assigned one to Monte?

We've drifted far from the topic of whether or not the NRA should be declared a terrorist organization.

I'm not a member of the NRA and I don't own a gun. I never plan to own a gun, but I don't have anything against the NRA. I wouldn't mind a taser though.

I called it for what it was, an over reach to define my post as "nasty", then he kept with the infantile posts.

I do not own a gun, I never plan to own a gun, but never say we never agree, some people just beg to be tasered

I do have issues with the NRA, they have way too much political clout and it is all about the gun/ammunition manufactures.

I disagree with your dialogue with Monte, but agree 100% on tasers.

I've always been rather ambivalent about the 2nd ammendment which puts me in the line of fire (pardon the pun) with those on both sides of this issue.

That doesn't make sense to me if, as you say, the size of government should be proportionate to the size of the population.

More people does not equal the need for more government.

For example, if we enlarge the Department of Defense based on the size of the population, how does that help us protect the country?

The DoD only deals with the military

Understood, but they are part of the government, so when you say in the the government should be proportionate to the population, that doesn't work across the board.
