Gun control and racism

The last KKK rally that I personally witnessed was about 15 years ago, at a mall outside of Atlanta (where my wife is from).

Anybody that preaches hate and intolerance to blacks, Hispanics, Jews, gays, etc....is going to attract the type of people who, years ago, would be carrying a burning cross and coveted by a hood. Right or wrong, the Republican party of today, is full of intolerance.

Well, I'm proud to say that I have never witnessed a KKK rally, nor would I subject myself to such hatred, but if you were comfortable witnessing it, what can I say?

So what have the republicans done with regard to guns? Do you think they are racist?

SoSad, I honestly do not know but I think everyone as to be careful since Sandy Hook to decide what needs to be done to prevent another such event.

Listen/read anything, and it's always about trying to find fault. Pointing fingers is what we have become. Not saying it's right. But that's reality.

Is is very real Slapshot, but we can give up on being better. Even if it is a tough endeavour.

Teachers need to be armed. Do you realize that the Aurora, Colorado shooter purposefully screened which movie house to terrorize based on which theater disallowed guns? (You are legally allowed to pack heat in Denver). Holmes drove 20 minutes further to find the Cinemark theater which banned guns.

There is no way in hell more gun control should be implemented. Gun control advocates are denialists who have no real-world concept of the diminishing effect that an armed populace has against would be criminals.

Certainly, no group or individual can/should claim to be perfect. Admitting fault is good. It might also be good if we could try and compromise to work on improvement, instead of one up.
