Despite the assertions by many here that he would be a hot commodity once released by the Ravens, Brian Billick finally scored his first interview since his firing. Philly gave him that opportunity. Good luck, coach.

I know how you feel about it bud but I don't agree ......
its ridiculous that lovie smith is getting interviews .....
I don't think Billick would be a good fit in Philly. You can see how a lowbrow, unsophisticated fan base responds to his style by this thread and the person who started it.
I think it just shows the Eagles are willing to interview anyone.
Side Note: In his commenting on the Atlanta/Seahawks game, Billick, in typical fashion, was talking about how it would be okay to settle for a FG instead of going for a TD. That is the essence of Brian Billick, that will ALWAYS be his pattern, and anyone who wants that type of coach can have him.

I hope BB gets the Eagles job, I have no doubt he could turn them into winners quickly.
The NFL is like MLB, where they hire coaches with losing records over and over.
BB did a good job in Baltimore until his pride took over and he refused to acknowledge that he make some mistakes.
Coaches are like many CEOs, they sometimes have a hard times admitting errors and making changes to correct them.
Good luck Brian, hope you get the job.
I seem to remember Billick interviewing with the Bills, or drawing interest from them. I could be wrong.
Actually, that is not completely true.
Note: This is from memory and I'll have to look at it on my DVR when I get home. But, during the game, it was apparent that Billick was merely discussing the options. Then it was noted immediately after, that with the time on the clock, it made more sense to go for it on fourth and try to get into the endzone.
Agree, dumb idea from Billick. But he also had a little bit of Cameron in him too, not knowing when to pass, when to run. I remember the Ravens having plenty of 2nd & 1 opportunities with good RBs and mediocre QBs & WRs. Then he'd call 2 deep bombs that went nowhere instead of trying at least one running play. Boller to Demetrius Williams wasn't exactly Cunningham to Moss.
Nope. They never called much to his public dismay.
His coaching career died with his loyalty to his quarterback - Boller. Unfortunately, Boller, with a weak OL (does it ever change?), was not up for the task. You could tell he was timid in the pocket and expected to be hit, rather than attacking the defense, he succumbed to it. Billick tried to nurture him, but the damage was done early. Boller was a coach killer.
I would like to see BB get a second chance somewhere. I'd be very interested to see how he would do. I personally don't think Philly is a good fit, but who cares what I think.
I wish him luck.
I seem to remember him wanting to spend time with Family. He still lives in the Baltimore highlands somewhere......
Perhaps the short commute to Philly would suit him??
of course with the criminals and sewer rats they call a fanbase up there, no one is going to make them happy.
I didn't say that. I was merely pointing out that if the Seahawks had 3 more points (which were easily obtainable) they win that game. The guys on Sirius NFL were suggesting that you should never give up (almost) 100% sure points early in a playoff game. To use an example that would have won the game had his advice been followed to prove Billick's incompetence seems like an illogical choice.
