Default Nickname for the play? THE ANSWER.

I've seen some articles which are calling for a name for the 70 yard TD pass. I'll be calling it THE ANSWER until I hear another definitive name. Why?

    1) It was an answer to the team's prayers, literally. They literally recited scripture at halftime together.

    2) It was an answer to the Denver TD putting them ahead, of course.

    3) It was an answer to the 35.3 million viewers' question: Can the Ravens do it?

    4) It was Flacco's answer to his critics.

    5) It was our answer to ALL of the ridiculous naysayers.

I am constructing a detailed breakdown of THE ANSWER, with a ton of pics, on the 4th and 29 blogsite. I'll post the link in a new thread when I'm done.

Looked like a routine Flacco pass to me, so I'll call it, "The Routine Pass".

Joey don't need no stinkin' "miracles".

I am very partial to the F-Bomb.....kind of what Joe dropped on the Broncos, their fans and his critics in a literal sort of way....

I hate to do this to you chris but do you have any regrets about lobbying for Peyton Manning this past offseason?

It sounds like it's being called the 'Flacco Fling' nationally. I heard it called this the first time by John Feinstein on 105.7 this afternoon.

I don't like that one at because it wasn't a prayer. It was a precision pass by Flacco to an open receiver who used his speed to get past defenders.

The Answer makes me think of Alan Iverson.

Most people just said 'OMFG!' in an excited fashion immediately afterward.

So, the FBomb is kinda close.

All one has to say around here is "did you see 'The Pass'?"

nothing cute or clever......but does it have to be cute or clever?

Only thing is F-bomb is not going to be publicized. They won't say that on Sunday Night Football.

52, not at all; with him we'd be playing the Patriots at home on Sunday. Go back and look and see that what I always said was that Flacco + Cameron did not work. We needed to get rid of one. Was I right? Also lobbied to draft Russell Wilson, was I right about that? Not going to go more OT, so you have my answer.

I would call it "THE BRONCO BUSTER"
    That's exactly what it did!

I never said you were wrong about Wilson just that he wasn't a good fit here since he wouldn't have a chance to start. There is no guarantee that we would be playing at all on Sunday with Peyton since he once again choked in the playoffs, he's one the greatest regular season QBs ever but not so much in the playoffs.

There were 30 seconds left, it was underthrown, with a DB converging on the play only to time his jump poorly. And after last year, Im pretty sure WE were all praying!
