The guy in Norway killed 77. Norway has tough gun laws. They failed, however, to stop a determined lunatic. Ours won't either.

Yes. I have no problem with you having it either. As long as you are responsible, of sound mind and use the weapons responsibly!

How many mass shootings has Norway had? You named one. What are some others, compare them to the U.S.

Any other softballs you'd like to toss out?

How many laws and regulations should we abandon because people get killed with or without them anyway ?

Maybe 20 pre-teens are not enough for the American people to say enough. Perhaps it will take 25, 50 or 77. Maybe then ? I guess in the meantime we'll all just wait and see.

Use your horn to let me know it's you. I'd hate to squash you with my four wheel drive Sierra. Sometimes I've got T-Pain and Ludacris cranked up too much to hear squeakers.

In the new TIME/CNN poll, just 39% said tougher gun laws would stem the tide of gun violence sweeping the U.S., compared to 61% who disagreed.

Of course, none of that addresses the point now, does it? You talk about abandoning laws but laws that fail are merely words on a paper, as the Norway massacre demonstrated. The proposals to ban semi-auto rifle sales solve neither of the problems that lead to these massacres, those being the wide availability of guns already and the propensity of unstable types to engage in these shootings. By all means, let's have thorough background checks but thinking you'll stop some nut by punishing the law abiding is nutty itself.

Well, Norway has a total population only slightly larger than the state of MD yet its tough gun laws failed to stop a massacre more than twice as deadly as any in US history. You'll need to do better.
