Not so fast. Marchibroda developed the Bills offense with Jim Kelly that took them to 4 Superbowls. If I recall, our offense in 1996 was pretty darn good. It was the defense that was horrible. Ted Marchibroda also coached the Colts to a near Superbowl with Jim Harbaugh.
But by 1998 Marchibroda's time had passed and the Ravens needed someone like Brian Billick to take over. But as far as offense goes Marchibroda knew what he was doing. As a head coach, I can see what you're saying.
