Just had the displeasure of watching the Heath Evans rant about Flacco - and it was memorable for its broken logic, preconceived ideas laid out as facts and for the overall negative attitude masquerading as analysis!
He says "Take away that 70 yard pass play and his numbers are midiocre..."
Well, Heath ole bean, if you take away that play, then why not try to take away the Tandon Doss drops too?
He mentioned two overthrows of Torrey Smith.
Well, Heath-ster, I noticed from the NFL Replay that Manning missed several receivers from shorter ranges who were wide open and forced Stokley and Decker to make spectacular diving catches of poorly underthrown balls too!
Hey Heath, I also noticed that once when Flacco was almost sacked and had two defenders draped around him, he managed to complete a pass to Boldin for a first down. If you were watching the Falcons game on Sunday, the same thing happened to Ryan but this time, Ryan threw an INT.
Guess it's OK when one of your favorites makes a mistake, but not for Flacco to make any huh?
Nor do I anticipate you giving him credit for outplaying four of your favorite QBs in the last four playoff games. Silly of me to expect so.
