Same thing is seen here, especially about last year's AFCCG. New year, new game, get past it!

Spot on. But I think most of the country is still infatuated with Belichick, Brady and the Pats. Why else would they by 9 point favorites?

Coming from a NE fan gives this credibility because you're an expert in watching refs lead the little boy to the SB.

How many flags will be thrown this week for getting too close to Brady?

Just enough to send Ray off on his retirement ride.

TeamofSTEEL.. how many "roughing the passer" flags have been thrown in favor of Brady this year? Do you know? I bet you do not withyour statement. With all the passes Brady has thrown this year, only TWICE has a roughing the passer flag been thrown. One of the LOWEST counts in the NFL this year!

You are wasting your time with teamofSpiel. The problem here is they should be more informed and less opinionated.

How about "illegal contact"? You know, where the QB gets hit in the chest and the refs decide it's above the shoulders or below the knees?

I credited the win on the refs, which you know was not with controversy. And I am quite sure if the refs were adequate, they would have kept them. Or is that just an opinion?

Hey, if you are going to say that the refs helped us win that NE game early this year than you also have to say that they helped us lose to the Eagles. We still would have been 10-6 although one less conference game could (I haven't looked up all the tiebreakers) have caused us to be the wild card to Cincy's division title.

Good point. The Eagles game was a travesty.

So no wins during the replacement ref era should count?

The refs in the Raven/Patriots game were horrible, but there were terrible calls against both teams. Remember the Baltimore crowd chanting "BS"? It's not like the game ended with Flacco throwing a pick that they called a touchdown like the GB/Seattle game.

Not to mention week 17 against Cincy would have had Ravens starters playing more than the 1st quarter.

I have an inlaw, he's from Boston. we started watching games together a couple of years ago. I mentioned how Brady gets serious preferential treatment. he was offended and asked how I could even begin to think that. I mentioned the fact that they created a special rule just for him. he slumped down into his chair as he quietly said, "you're right." by the end of that particular Pats-Ravens game, he was apologizing for not seeing it before.

I have never seen a pro sports league coddle one player like the NFL does for that mary. give him Rothlisbuerger's face and his HOF career would be reduced to a league average QB whose signature move would be getting up off the ground.

I don't know why, but every time I turn around there is a Bostonian, or a pseudo-Bostonian (ESPN) running around making derogatory statements about Baltimore teams.
it's all because Andino got their manager fired and the sox turned into a league-wide joke. this pats tourist must be young. every NE fan, with some years on him, has a chip on his shoulder and a deep fear that they will become an embarrassment again when the cover girl retires.

What I am hearing is a lot of jealousy of Tom. Not one of you here wouldn't change places with him in a heartbeat. Go Pats.

does it have to be Brady? or can I change places with anyone I want?

if the deal is, trade places with TB and TB only, then alright, I'm in. can you make that happen? and in time for me to suit up for the game this Sunday?
