Yeah; I know. But when there's a softball waiting to be hit, I sometimes can't resist.

The use of "target" is just more hyperbole for the masses. The children were not "targeted" as in "targeted" for harm. The NRA and people on all sides of this issue are flipping crazy.

Given the massive increase in attendance at gun shows in the last two months, I find their assertion to be perfectly credible. If you have some factual basis to doubt their numbers, please show it.

I have no doubts that the numbers reported are true.

Anyone not too utterly lazy could find that answer in about fifteen seconds by visiting their web site. Would that be too much trouble for you or are you afraid you might get some 'gun cooties' on you?

    Matt,

I suspect we haven’t reached the proverbial worm’s belly on either side yet.

Exactly why I didn't/don't believe him/her...not to mention on just about every thread he/she posts on it, has some bs anecdotal story to tell about the topic...

Their numbers are provided by them. So whether or not they are factual is hard to establish. Or let me put it this way, there is no more basis to believe them than not to believe them.

Comic book conventions get massive attendance too

I have no reason to doubt the NRA's numbers but your evidence is anecdotal...

Good, I hope the NRA continues to make fools of themselves. That can only be good for America.

So that would be a "yeah, I am too lazy and/or intellectually bereft to find my own answers to very simple questions."

Another possibility, though, is that you already know the answer and simply prefer to lie about it, presumably because you have a bug up your butt about the NRA that is bigger than an inner-city cockroach.
