The gun industry itself is to blame for much that is taking place in the name of new legislation to restrict some guns and ammunition magazines. This is the 21st century and most guns can be picked up by anyone and fired. Civilian guns coexist with the rest of society, unlike military weapons, and need some changes beyond not being fully automatic to be in homes across the country. At the very least a gun should have a integrated lock that requires a key so that if someone other than the owner takes it and it is locked, the person in possession of the gun would have go through some effort before running into a shopping mall or school and shooting it up.

Guns are just wide open to be picked up a fired by anyone, including children. Any right under the Constitution has limits when it moves into the realm of causing harm to others.
