Default Virginia executes convicted murderer who wanted the death penalty

    http://news.yahoo.com/virginia-execu...024849704.html

"A man who admitted to strangling two fellow prison inmates and threatened to continue killing until he received the death penalty was executed in Virginia on Wednesday, the first time the state has used the electric chair in nearly three years.

Robert Charles Gleason Jr., 42, had said he wanted to be put to death despite attempts by his former court-appointed attorneys to halt the execution and have him undergo a mental competency evaluation."

Just think of the money the taxpayers would save if all inmates who wanted to be put to death got their wish. And...it's a great deterrent. These criminals would never commit another crime.

So you're in favor of the government carrying out euthanasia on depressed inmates who've been jailed for misdemeanors?
