Dorrien Allen of the 600 block of Yale Avenue was arrested a few hours after Baltimore police say he fired several shots into a pickup truck, killing teenager Michelle Adrian and wounding a 19-year-old man on Tuesday. Police found Allen, charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault, in the same Southwest Baltimore neighborhood as the crime scene, Det. Vernon Davis said.
The male victim, whose name police did not release, told detectives both he and the girl had driven to the Allendale neighborhood to buy drugs, Davis said. While in an alley, the male victim told police, Allen came up to the truck with a gun and asked the pair if they "wanted to die," Davis said.
He gave police a description of the shooter — a black man with a short haircut wearing an orange jacket and blue jeans. Officers recognized that person to be Allen, who was known to hang around the neighborhood, Davis said. They canvassed the blocks surrounding the crime scene and found Allen a few hours later.
