never mind
I love this matchup for the Ravens. The Pats love to take away your best weapon but which one? If they take away Rice they can't double cover deep on Smith, Boldin and Jones. If they take away the deep pass Ravens run and keep Brady off the field. Some have said they are worried about the Pats running game, why? If they run they are keeping the ball out of Bradys hands. It would alos be a lower scoring game which favors the Ravens not the Pats.
Ravens 27-17
The Pats have a lot of weapons on offense too, a great OL...and their defense is stingy when it comes to points allowed and forces a ton of turnovers.
I think the match-up in our favor is a somewhat finesse team in NE vs a very physical team in the Ravens. We need to beat them up on both lines and hopefully get some legal shots on Brady to start making him hear footsteps.
Don't underestimate how tough it was to go to Mile High and beat the Broncos after giving up two special teams tds. Not many teams in the league could have pulled that off. The Ravens were able to stand toe to toe with the Broncos because they are running on all cylinders right now. They are confident on both sides of the ball and are more than ready for this game. Anybody who is judging this team on how they played earlier in the season is making a big mistake.
Ravens 31 Patriots 23
That was a tremendous effort and I applaud the Ravens for sending Gomer out to play golf instead of suiting up this weekend.
Ravens win 31-27. Tight game all the way
49ers win in a blow out. 35-10
Patriots win 27-21.
Vegas might say the Ravens are underdogs but that's what they called for the last game. I see a team with a mission, Ravens are going to the Superbowl.
The tired isssue is just completely ridiculous. Hell half the defense didnt play half the year, plus they got two weeks off at the end of the season. That wont be an issue at all. I have no idea who wins, i dont know how anyone could. There's only been one blowout in this series, the Ravens at Foxboro. The last 5 out of 6 games decided by less than six points. The last two, by four points total. Brady's poor games against the Ravens, but i dont expect that to happen again. It will be a very high scoring game with a total over 70 points. I hope we win, but i have no idea. Turnovers, and splash plays, makes the difference. Home field actually helps our D out because they can make their calls in quiet. Had a problem in Baltimore with that. I really have no idea, either outcome wouldn't suprise me. Since it's a prediction thread, i'll be a real homer and pick 37-34 Ravens, with a winning defensive stop to get us to New Orleans. However i wouldn't bet on it, but i will bet heavily on the Ravens plus 9 and 1/2
Ravens 35
Patriots 28 in OT.
This may sound a bit crazy but I don't think I'll be that upset if they lose to New England. Last week's win in Denver was like my own personal Super Bowl. I'm not saying they CAN'T beat the Patriots since they already have this year but realistically, I don't expect it. I don't think it would be AS shocking as last week but I'd be surprised. And you know what? If they Ravens do pull off another upset, I actually think they would win the Super Bowl. The NFC just doesn't impress me all that much. In any rate.....
NEW ENGLAND 27; BALTIMORE 24
I think the key to containing the Patriots is containing Wes Walker.
I really don't understand how this guy catches so many passes.
Is he as fast Torrey Smith, not likely.
This guy is 5' 9" and 185 pounds. Should not be a big deal for a hard nose player like Pollard to hammer him in the first 5 yards off the line of scrimmage early and often.
The ravens may have to assign one DB exclusively to Walker.
its mind boggling isn't it .......
it all starts and ends with brady........
every year, plug in a journeyman running back, a few cast offs like welker and folk like woodhead that nobody wanted and make it deep into the playoffs, year after year sometimes even with a terrible defense .......
Ravens win! Why? Because I dreamed the Patriots won, 33-30. My dreams, my sports dreams, never, EVER, come true, EVER! If I dream the team loses, they win. If I dream they win, they lose. I dreamt the Bronco's won, they lost. I dreamt the Texans would win, they lost. Its not just football but also college basketball the Terps and Orioles, same rule applies. A Terp win in my dream, Terps lose in reality. Its been this way with me ever since I can remember. I have to be emotionally invested in the game and the team(I rarely dream about teams from other places). It wasn't until I became an adult that it hit me that my sports dreams (win or lose)never come true in real life. You would think that in about 15 years I would be right at least once, nope not one time.
