Why are you accusing me of being a bitter, hateful person who is trying to discredit Dr. King?

Nothing but Red Herrings trying to justify King's theft of material and cheating his way to his doctorate.
Interesting that his plagiarism is excused by "people of color" in this thread.
But not unexpected. Lowering the bar seem the norm for some.
Jeebus--
I don't think anyone is trying to justify his plagerism, but if you see that as the most important point of his legacy, you are a sad, sad person.

Exactly matt
Everybody has warts. There are no Sir Galahads, and the includes King. The reason the left despised J. Edgar is because he had tapes, proving the good Rev. and his buddies, married men all, were having orgies in Sweden waiting to pick up his Nobel "piece" prize. Jackie Kennedy was hardly a bitter old white man and she referred to him as a phony after he made fun of the way Cardinal Cushing was speaking at JFK's funeral. Anybody who thinks the days of separate and unequal are over take a look at the racial makeup of inner city schools and the condition they are in compared to the ones in surrounding counties.
Ah yes, our annual dig up dirt on King thread, fresh for the Holiday.
Calimari--
The thread was not intended to dig up dirt.

You know it doesn't make much sense
There ought to be a law against
Anyone who takes offense
At a day in your celebration
Cause we all know in our minds
That there ought to be a time
That we can set aside
To show just how much we love you
And I'm sure you would agree
It couldn't fit more perfectly
Than to have a world party on the day you came to be
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
I just never understood
How a man who died for good
Could not have a day that would
Be set aside for his recognition
Because it should never be
Just because some cannot see
The dream as clear as he
that they should make it become an illusion
And we all know everything
That he stood for time will bring
For in peace our hearts will sing
Thanks to Martin Luther King
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Why has there never been a holiday
Where peace is celebrated all throughout the world
The time is overdue
For people like me and you
Who know the way to truth
Is love and unity to all God's children
It should be a great event
And the whole day should be spent
In full remembrance
Of those who lived and died for the oneness of all people
So let us all begin
We know that love can win
Let it out don't hold it in
Sing it loud as you can
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Ooh yeah
Happy birthday...
We know the key to unify all peopleIs in the dream that you had so long ago
That lives in all of the hearts of people
That believe in unity
We'll make the dream become a reality
I know we will
Because our hearts tell us so
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BY STEVIE WONDER Lyrics

Speaking in the months after her husband's assassination, Jacqueline Kennedy was so upset with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. that she told a friend and interviewer that she could barely look at images of him.
"I just can't see a picture of Martin Luther King without thinking, you know, that man's terrible," Mrs. Kennedy said, as part of an oral history series of interviews released this month.
The widowed first lady soured on King as a result of secret wiretaps arranged by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. Hoover had told President Kennedy that King tried to arrange a sex party while in town for the March on Washington, and told Robert Kennedy that King had made derogatory comments during the president's funeral, Mrs. Kennedy recalled.

Like most people King had his flaws. His leadership inspired a generation and his personal courage rarely matched.
Imagine the little inconsequential soul one has to have to pick at the memory of a great man, buzzard like, from behind the safety of Internet anonymnity.
