For Jews who have almost religiously believed in medical authorities about vaccines and poo-pooed those worried about the safety of vaccines, they might want to notice that Hillerman was Jewish.

Here we go again.

When I was kid, polio was rampant in the 50s and 60s. Today due vaccines, polio is a disease, most people in the US have never heard of.

In all fairness I do think some vaccines lead to shortened life spans for some people.

But almost nothing in life is completely without risk.

If 20 vaccinated people die or get cancer and 50,000 people do not get a serious disease and are subject to dying from it, it was worth the tradeoff.
