Gun shows can be oddly risky to attend. I don't know what the estimate might be on responsible individuals to irresponsible ones, but I've seen enough bad behavior at these shows and read about enough incidents over the years where people were injured or killed to keep me away from them.

I guess because of an idiot cop you want to disarm police also? Take away guns from cops? WHAT YOUR NARROW MIND FAILS TO UNDERSTAND IS NO ONE WANTS CRIMINALS TO HAVE GUNS. All we want is for the government to not take away our RIGHTS AS LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.

This obviously means that Hussein now has to shut down all gun shows and take guns away from everybody except for the people who protect him and his children. Violent criminals will surely voluntarily turn in their guns because most of them fit the profile of people who voted for Hussein. Violent crime, inner cities...

Why would we need a room?

It's far more fun out in the open, where we can pisz-off people like you.

But the correlation between this news, about these idiots at a gun show shooting themselves, and the Wordsum test results showing gun owners not being too smart, is ironic.

Alcohol was once banned in the country. It didn't work out very well...

    That is not correct.

but that's ok with the democrats and some of America. Where is all the hate for Alcohol?
When did "the democrats" make it legal to be impaired by alcohol and drive?

    Thank you.

Not that I'm a Dem., but non-partisan comments are always a refreshing change of pace on this Forum.

I agree completely. Let's take the warning labels off of everything and let nature take its course.

Of course that may have an unintended consequence that many progressives find disheartening.

Indeed, conservatives too. Those sort of consequences have no political boundaries.

Why is basic gun safety so difficult?

Every gun show I've attended checked guns at the door and zip tied the action open.

It sounds like the North Carolina discharge occurred during the intake check.

I cringe when I see an allegedly experienced dealer pick up a weapon with his finger on the the trigger, and hand it to one of the buyers who does the same. This, combined with some flagging, makes me really uncomfortable. Some people just aren't going to be competent and responsible.

The BS artist has Hussein on his feeble brain.

I wonder if the high traffic at these recent shows has something to do with this. Dealers might bring in extra staff to work a busier show and that staff might not be experienced. This, combined with more new potential owners, could help to explain - but not to excuse, more accidents.
